Hi, I'm Taylor!

I have 16 years experience with dogs - including my own. However, I'm not your standard dog walker. I have walked and sat numerous dogs over the years - including 3 with a bite history. I've many years experience volunteering with dog rescues, I'm a trusted walker for The Cinnamon Trust and I have completed canine behaviour courses through The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT).  After dog sitting for 6 years, I haven't since November 2023 due to adopting another rescue dog, Leo.

Leo is originally from Romania and is a working line hunting dog. He came with an array of issues -

Anxieties - me, cowering to the floor if I picked anything up or moved my arms around, strangers, normal noises of a home, cars, eating in front of me, the outside world, going for a walk, the back garden... everything. Leo had lots of stomach issues due to his anxiety

Reactivity - to all dogs, men and children

Lack of any training - Leo knew his name and that was it (at least in English!). We started from scratch. The first word I taught him was "move" - after one time having to move my double mattress and a 5 stone Leo off my bed at the same time - stubborn Hound life!

Safe to say, Leo sparked a bigger interest in canine behavioural issues. I've spent a long time rehabilitating him to the point he is no longer generally reactive, has dog friends and can live a normal life of lots of walks, car trips to country parks, days out with friends, we can have visitors round the house, he can be around children and men and the best of all... little beach holidays!

I'm not a dog trainer, but I spend a lot of my spare time with dogs such as arranging group walks, or learning more in-depth about canine behaviour and communication.

So when I say I'm not just a dog lover who takes dogs out for fun and exercise, hopefully you can see there is a bit more involved! Happy to walk anxious and reactive dogs, but if they needed the help of a professional trainer, I can put you in touch with those.
